EAL Installing 2nd Highcon Euclid Machine

Edições de Angola, EAL, a third generation family business, is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second Highcon™ Euclid digital cutting and creasing machine.

EAL first saw the Euclid at Drupa in May 2012 and installed the machine in their site at the end of 2013. Since then this 48 year old commercial printer, with over 200 employees, has been serving their local and international customers with a wide range of digital finishing services, producing labels, books, boxes, greeting cards, and even using the laser etching for security jobs. EAL produces these jobs on stock printed both conventionally and digitally – their business is spread over several sites and hosts a number of offset and digital presses.

Carlos Santos, the Manager of EAL, and responsible for their recent move into packaging said:

“We handle a lot of short run jobs and the Highcon Euclid has opened up the market for us. We are able to be far more responsive to our customers, offering rapid turnaround and highly differentiated designs. We ordered the second Euclid machine to cope with the volume of work and also because I can no longer imagine working without it”

The 2nd machine has just been shipped to Angola.

Highcon representative Paulo Monteiro of Grafopel in Portugal , who sold the machine to EAL said: “EAL is a perfect fit for the Highcon Euclid. The Highcon Euclid is the first fully digital cutting and creasing machine for converting paper, labels, folding carton and microflute. The Euclid incorporates Highcon’s patented ‘DART’ (Digital Adhesive Rule Technology) to produce creases, and high-speed laser optics for cutting and etching.
