Area Sales Manager – Asia-Pacific & Japan

Highcon Systems invites applications for the position of Area Sales Manager for Asia-Pacific and Japan region for its portfolio of products & solutions. This portfolio includes equipment, solutions and services in digital cutting, creasing and web-to pack domains. The position reports to Director – APJ

Location

The candidate will be required to be based preferably out of Hong Kong and is expected to extensively travel to countries including, but not limited to, Mainland China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing sales operations plans with the approval of the regional and global sales managers
  • Working with the regional team to deliver assigned quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Working with established strategic partners, channel partners and country managers to monitor and close sales opportunities, provide support wherever required, and report bottlenecks to senior management
  • Working with and supporting channel partners, where present, and clients to ensure top-of-class pre and post sales and customer experience
  • Maintaining and updating Highcon’s contact and pipeline management platform – salesforce.com
  • Organising and executing special events, whenever needed, for the purposes of creating awareness about Highcon’s portfolio or for advancing negotiations with high value prospects
  • Working with the marketing team in Israel to create promotional material for Highcon’s products and services and ensure their dissemination in the relevant territories
  • Managing and growing relationships with existing customers
  • Finding new strategic partners for Highcon in the region
  • Representing Highcon at regional and international events in the industry, whenever required

Preferred Skill Set

  • 5-10 years of work experience in Digital Printing & Graphic Arts Industry with a multinational corporation
  • Experience in selling capital equipment into the Printing / Graphic Arts Industry
  • Hands-on approach driving and supporting customer sales cycles in collaboration with partner sales force
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills
  • Basic proficiency in legal contracts and agreements
  • Working knowledge of salesforce.com platform
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin. Knowledge of one of the following languages will be a plus: Cantonese, Japanese and Korean
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

Training

All requisite training with respect to Highcon’s portfolio and established sales processes will be provided by the company.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
