To bridge the gap between design creativity and production capability with innovative digital technology that unleashes the power of paper.
Highcon is a private company, founded in November 2009 by Aviv Ratzman and Michael Zimmer. Michael and Aviv have extensive experience within the finishing and the digital print markets, initially with Indigo NV and latterly HP.
Headquartered in Yavne, Israel, Highcon has developed a unique patented converting solution for post print processes in graphic arts industries such as folding carton converting and commercial printing, based on its proprietary DART (Digital Adhesive Rule Technology). This digital cutting and creasing process brings all the benefits previously associated with digital prepress and printing workflow to the existing analogue finishing market.
The first product, the Highcon Euclid, was presented at the May 2012 DRUPA exhibition in Dusseldorf Germany.
Since the first installation in 2013, Highcon has installed Highcon Euclid machines in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
At drupa 2016 Highcon introduced a brand new portfolio of products offering a full range of digital finishing products from entry level to top of the line production capability, all based on Highcon’s core cutting and creasing technology.
Highcon Beam – digital cutting and creasing for mainstream production
The Highcon Beam extends the digital finishing revolution to mainstream production. With a speed of up to 5,000 sheets per hour, this breakthrough machine was developed as a robust solution to the challenges facing folding carton converters and print service providers.
Highcon Pulse – digital cutting and creasing in a B2/29 in. format
The Highcon Pulse brings the digital post-print revolution to print service providers and converters with a seamless integration into existing B2 / 29 in. sheet size workflows. Highcon’s digital cutting and creasing technology enables an in-house controlled digital system that delivers improved responsiveness, design flexibility and entry into a wide range of applications in numerous markets.
Highcon Euclid III – application versatility made possible by digital cutting and creasing
The Highcon Euclid III addresses today’s operational challenges and answers tomorrow’s growth needs by opening the door to countless new opportunities in high value applications and markets; from packaging and commercial print applications to Web-to-Pack and even 3D modeling. The 3D optional module with Highcon’s Rapid Layer Manufacturing technology offers customers a wide range of capabilities with disruptive speed, size and costs that unleash the power of paper. 3D models are created based on any type of substrate, including recycled board and even used offset make-ready sheets.
Highcon Axis – 2D to 3D platform
The Highcon Axis 2D to 3D platform is a software solution that brings the benefits of a web-to-print system to all the players in the complex paper or cartonboard production supply chain. While web-to-print solutions handle only straightforward 2D products, like brochures or business cards, the Highcon Axis handles all the intricacies of 3-dimensional folding applications.
Our Euclid was up and running within three days of delivery. The Highcon team was so well-prepared, their training and support have been outstanding, and when we have questions, we get answers in hours, not days. I have never had an installation go this well
I hold a sincere belief that the people are the foundation of our success. With shared values and an unwavering commitment to creating a culture of service, diversity and community, I believe Highcon provides an exceptional work environment. The award winning Highcon Euclid is the first fully digital cutting and creasing machine for converting paper, labels, folding carton and microflute.
